Worldwide Laser Service Corporation

Universal and Synrad Lasers

Worldwide Laser builds laser marking, laser cutting, and laser etching systems. The laser systems can be Co2, YAG or fiber laser systems for marking, cutting and etching. Worldwide Laser generally utilizes laser tubes from Universal Laser Systems (ULS) in Scottsdale Arizona, YAG lasers are generally OEM sourced from Lee Laser and fiber laser EOM sources from SPI or EPG Laser.

Combining the Universal laser tube with one of the three laser controller software options available from Worldwide Laser (ie the Zap-IT software, Link Motion software, or Pro-Lase software) and either a Worldwide Laser gavlo head or x-y table flat bed system, rotary fixtures, robot, or some other type of product handers. This combination allows Worldwide Laser to offer the greatest range of Co2 laser cutting, marking and etchings systems avaiable in the market place. These Co2 laser systems can be either air or water cooled depending on the requirements of the specific application. Both of our chosen laser tube OEM's (Universal and Synrad) have air and water cooled Co2 laser tubes readily available to Worldwide Laser for use in our Co2 laser systems.

Worldwide Laser will use Synrad laser tubes when the specific applicaiton calls for use of a Synrad laser tube as opposed to the Worldwide Laser standard and recommended ULS laser tube from Universal Laser, or when the customer has an existing Synrad laser system in place and wishes to maintian compatability of the same type of Synrad laser tubes or not mix the OEM source of laser tubes with a new ULS Co2 laser tube from Universal laser. Universal and Synrad laser tubes can be water or air cooled depending on the type of application and the specifics of the end users location or plant. Let the laser system experts at Worldwide Laser know the details of your application and plant enviornment so we can recommed the proper choice of Co2 laser system to build for you.

Worldwide Laser considers Universal Laser to be the leader in air cooled co2 tube technology as ULS was the first major OEM to build air cooled seal beam Co2 laser tubes. The other major OEM's in the laser tube market, at fist discounted the quality and reliability of the air cooled laser tube as provided by ULS to be sure in the first year some quality problems did exist, however these quality problems have long since been overcome. Synrad laser and other laser tube OEM's have now joined Universal in offering air cooled Co2 laser tubes in additonal to water cooled laser tubes. Prior to these events, the traditional longer established Co2 laser tube manufactures, such as Synrad, offered only water cooled Co2 laser tubes. Again, it was Univeral Laser that basically invented the air cooled Co2 laser tube for industrial applicaitons and Worldwide Laser now has several hunderd co2 laser cutting, marking and etching systems in place at customer locaitons with ULS laser tubes. The Universal laser tube has performed at these installations for many hours with very high quality and very high reliability.

Synrad Laser had long been the 'leader' in low power sealed-off Co2 laser tubes and many consider Synrad to still be the leader in terms of laser tubes sold and laser tubes in place at end user location. Synrad Laser would be the leader in the low powered [ie less than 200w] sealed off Co2 laser tube business, clearly one of the reasons for Synrad Lasers leadership in this area is years of business selling laser tubes for many more years than Universal. Synrad Laser offers a very high quality and highly reliable laser tube. Worldwide Laser installations with Synrad Laser tubes have experienced little or no failure in the laser tube when run and installed per instrucitons and directions of the laser system builder Worldwide Laser.

If your laser system requires a Synrad laser tube Worldwide Laser, with years of experience working with and building laser systems with Synrad laser tubes, is ready and available to assist. In fact, there may be some types of installations where Worldwide Laser system experts would recommend Synrad Co2 sealed off laser tube as opposed to the Worldwide Laser standard and perferred recommendation of a ULS laser tube from Universal. Because Worldwide Laser has designed our laser controller software, galvo head, x-y table, rotary fixtures, etc to work with either the Universal or Synrad Co2 laser tube, Worldwide Laser can offer the flexibility of using a Co2 laser tube from either of the two leading OEM's for low powered Co2 laser tubes. Universal and Synrad therby provide the best service and support to Worldwide Laser end users for Co2 laser marking, laser cutting, and laser etching systems.

Worldwide Laser, by working with Universal Laser, is able to offer next day availability of repacement laser tubes should any failure occur in the field. Universal Laser offers easy to get, next day replacments without lots of paperwork and complex corporate processing in order to keep the many end users serviced by Worldwide Laser without any interuption to the laser process at the end users location.

Don't forget at Worldwide Laser your satifiscation is our most important product and we are here to service you with Co2 laser marking, cutting and etching systems; utilizing high quality, reliable, Co2 air and water cooled laser tubes from Synrad Laser and Universal Laser.
