In these applications laser cutting systems from Worldwide Laser were used to laser cut materials in a production process as follows

  • 2-D bar codes were laser cut into a thick tape the 2-D codes are machine readable and can be used to identify products and to assist in production planning, counterfeiting prevention, and product identification for consumer protection, in this application a custom software package was written providing a user software interface allowing multiple jobs to be run over time without operator intervention. For this application a 50 watt Co2 laser with galvo head coupled with 200 mm focus lens and Worldwide Laser software was utilized. The roller and feeder systems used for this application is shown with other frames and stands at the end of this article.
